10cric - Responsible Gaming

10cric responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

At 10cric, gambling should always be entertainment, never a source of income or a way to escape problems. Before you deposit, decide exactly how much you can afford to lose and treat that figure as the cost of entertainment. A practical starting point for Indian players is to cap monthly gambling spend at no more than 2 to 5% of disposable income, keeping everyday essentials and savings completely untouched.

Never chase losses. If a session has drained your planned budget, stop immediately, increasing your stakes to recover losses almost always results in deeper shortfalls. Balance every gambling session with other leisure activities, and avoid playing when you are stressed, bored or under financial pressure. Never fund your account using money borrowed through credit cards, personal loans or buy-now-pay-later services.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling develops gradually, making self-awareness critical. Common behavioural red flags include spending more time or money than planned, feeling irritable or anxious when you try to cut back, hiding the size of your losses from family, and neglecting work or study responsibilities because of gambling sessions.

Financial and emotional signs are equally important: using gambling to escape stress or depression, taking personal loans or liquidating savings to fund deposits, and experiencing sharp mood swings tied directly to wins and losses. If you recognise three or more of these signs, use the limit and exclusion tools in your 10cric account right away and reach out to one of the support services listed below.

Deposit, loss and time limits

10cric gives every registered player a set of account-level controls designed to prevent overspending before it happens. To set or adjust a limit, log in, navigate to My Account → Responsible Gaming, and choose from the following options:

  • Deposit limit: Cap how much you can add to your account per day, week or month. For example, setting a ₹5,000 weekly deposit limit means no additional funds can be accepted until the period resets, regardless of which payment method, PhonePe, GPay, BHIM UPI or net banking, you attempt to use.
  • Loss limit: Restrict how much you can lose within a chosen period. Once the threshold is hit, further wagers are blocked for the remainder of that window.
  • Session time limit: Receive an automatic on-screen alert after a specified period of play, 30, 60 or 120 minutes, so you can reassess before continuing.

Increases to any limit take 24 hours to come into effect, giving you a cooling-off window to reconsider. Reductions, by contrast, apply immediately. This asymmetry is intentional and aligns with responsible gaming best practice.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

If limits alone are not enough, 10cric offers two stronger interventions. A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. During this window you cannot log in, deposit or place any bet. It is ideal when you feel gambling is becoming compulsive but are not ready for a permanent break.

Self-exclusion is a longer-term block lasting 6 months, 1 year or indefinitely. To activate it, go to My Account → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclude, select your preferred duration, confirm your identity and submit. The exclusion takes effect within one hour. Unlike a cool-off, self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the chosen period expires, this is a deliberate safeguard. During any exclusion, 10cric will also suppress all promotional emails and bonus notifications sent to your registered address.
